In these times of the fast and almost greedy consumption of products and experiences, the Human Rights Film Festival arrives to San Sebastian with a full bag of works that turn the focus on subjects and stories that directly appeal to the collective human conscience. From an unhurried and serene approach, from the examination of feelings, the points of view that men and women directors, screenwriters, actresses and actors apply to reality often help to cast light into those dark corners not generally found on the front pages of the media. That’s why we must celebrate the protagonism of this Festival which, together with the vocation of bringing those points of view to our city, appeals to the deepest part of our condition as people.
