IBAIA - ELKARGI AWARD: €5,000 for the best project presented during the pitching session. The main objective of this award is to take another step forward in the development process of quality documentary genre projects and in the collaboration to set them in motion. This award is open for all the projects that will participate in the pitching sessions, on the 27 of September 2023. The Panel of Commissioning Editors, acting as the jury, will choose the winning project, based on the presentation, originality, treatment and dissemination potential.
IBAIA - BILIBIN CIRCULAR AWARD: This Award will consist of an environmental consultancy, through several online work sessions, with the aim of helping the project to fulfil the necessary requirements established by the different administrations to gain access to the corresponding aid packages. Bilibin Circular is a circular economy consultancy involved in the transformation process of companies towards sustainability. In the field of the audiovisual sector, it is responsible for the Technical Secretariat of the Project “Basque Green Film”, set in motion by the Department of Culture of the Basque Government.
DISTRIBUTION AND FESTIVAL CONCULTANCY TREELINE AWARD: It consists of two advisory sessions about the project. A first consultancy session during the documentary development stage, and a second one once the documentary is finished. The objective is to offer the best commercial distribution strategy to follow (selection of distribution company or sales agent, television, internet, cinema, etc.) and suggest a guide to which are the most appropriate festivals, depending on the content and style of the documentary. TREELINE DISTRIBUTION is a Spanish distributor created by Luisa Romeo and Elena Mera, two professionals with a long career in both domestic and international distribution.
SAN SEBASTIAN LAU HAIZETARA FORUM - FIPADOC BIARRITZ AWARD: A project that has been present at FIPADOC Biarritz, will be chosen by our Selection Committee and will have the possibility to participate in the San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Forum. Furthermore, one of the projects participating in the Lau Haizetara Forum will also be present at the next edition of FIPADOC Biarritz (January 2024).
SAN SEBASTIAN LAU HAIZETARA FORUM - DOCS BARCELONA AWARD: each year one of the projects presented at the San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Forum and one of the projects participating in the public pitchs of DocsBarcelona, are present in both markets. These projects will be selected by the respective Selection Committees.
