Basque cinema, protagonist in Kraków
Basque cinema continues showing strength by participating and being protagonist at the most important cinema events at a state and international level. In this case, Basque cinema will be present at the CEDOC market, a creative documentary co-production encounter to be held in Kraków as part of the Kraków Film Festival.
Two Basque projects have been selected by ICAA to participate in the ‘Co-production meeting’ that will take place from May 31 to June 3. Iñigo Lezertua from the production company Balea Media will attend with ‘Beloki, father and son’ and Amaia Remirez Garcia from Kanaki Films will be present with ‘Vréco: Sarajevo – New York – Granada’.
During the days of the encounter, the Basque producers will have the opportunity to participate in different co-production meetings with their Polish counterparts, make a presentation about the Spanish documentary market and carry out several individual meetings with other projects selected at CEDOC.
Also, two Basque productions are present at the Focus On Spain section of the Kraków Film Festival, which is being held during these days. On the one hand, ‘El Drogas’, a documentary directed by Natxo Leuza and produced by Marmoka Films and Narm Films. On the other hand, ‘Two Breaths’, directed by Jon Mikel Fernández Elor and produced by Bordagorri Produkzioak.
